Founded in 1972, by the late Loren L. Zachary and Nedra Zachary, the National Vocal Competition for Young Opera Singers is one of the most prestigious and valuable singing competitions in the world.

ELIGIBILITY
Competition is open to applicants ages 21 - 35. Singers must be prepared to pursue a professional operatic stage career, be present for all phases of the Competition, and citizens or lawful residents of the United States or Canada.
AWARDS
The Top Award ranges from $15,000 to $18,000 and approximately $50,000 will be distributed amongst the Finalists, each Finalist receiving a minimum of $1,000 - $2,000.

Applications for auditions must be postmarked no later than the deadline date for the region you are auditioning. Send a self addressed, stamped business size envelope to:
